Beth Lauren
With over 25 years of experience in development and strategic communications, I have helped nonprofit organizations and mission-driven ventures grow, thrive, and deepen their impact. As a Director of Development, Development Consultant, and a small business owner I have led campaigns that have raised six- and seven-figure gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors. My strategic fundraising efforts have increased annual contributed revenue by as much as 40% in a single fiscal year.
I have built development infrastructure from the ground up for growing organizations—implementing donor management systems, stewardship calendars, and compelling case materials. I have also trained and empowered boards to play a more active role in fundraising. My institutional fundraising work includes securing major grants and sponsorships across the arts, education, wellness, and civic engagement sectors.
My focus now is on storytelling, using that strength to translate complex missions into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with funders.
Whether supporting independent film, community wellness, or social justice advocacy, I bring creativity, precision, and heart to every project—helping organizations and businesses move from vision to impact.
My 15+ client roster has included: MoveOn.org, Women for Afghan Women, Pay It Forward 9/11, League of Women Voters NY, Heartbeat Opera, United Synagogues of Conservative Judaism, Jensen Project, Zanzibar Films, Freyja Films and the Well-Tech World Summit.
In my other writing worlds, I wrote and produced the feature film Fairytale of New York and wrote, produced and directed several short films. I’m currently adapting my memoir, Reeling: Misadventures in Moviemaking, Money and Love.
